Frankly, because I haven’t felt like it. Actually, that’s only part of the reason. The other part stems from the fact that in the grand scheme of things, where God is first in life, then family, then work, blogging shows up pretty darn near the bottom of the totem pole.
In any case, know that I’ll keep on blogging, but now I’m on a bit of a break. If you’re a regular reader, sorry to disapoint. If you’re just a passerby then you probably don’t really care.
Yes, I know the Steve Irwin (a.k.a., “The Crocodile Hunter”) has been killed. Sad, really. He was one of these people I thought about as being indistructable. Hearing about his death yesterday was shocking, and I felt like I was one of those characters in the background of a comic book, hearing that Batman died. But, I suppose he went one of the ways he wanted to go: in the field, with cameras rolling. (During an interview in 2003, he said that if he ever got mauled by a gator or something, he wanted the cameras to keep rolling, and just before he died he wanted to look at the camera and say “Crikey!” one last time. I can’t help but wonder whether his last word was indeed “Crikey”.) For more news on his death, go to Google News or something.
