Bad Blogger. Bad, BAD Blogger

Wow. It’s been like two weeks since I wrote anything. I guess when priorities are set in order blogging falls pretty low in the list, eh?

I’ve started to work out this past week, after finally deciding to do something about my weight. I started seeing a private trainer, and, I gotta say, that has made all the difference. He helped me develop a workout plan that works, even though it takes a lot of work and discipline.

For starters, I’ve been getting up at about 5am so I can be at the gym by 5:30. After a quick, 10-minute stretch/warm-up combo, I get started. By 7:30 — yes, almost 2 hours later — I’m sweating like a fat guy who’s just worked out for two hours. I go home, bathe, get dressed, eat, and I’m off to work.

Surprisingly, getting up at 5:00am hasn’t been all that hard. Since I started working out, I actually have a lot more energy than before, and getting up that early — though a drag — feels pretty good.

Anyway, so that’s one of the reasons I haven’t been blogging. In addition, I’ve just come out of a couple of tight deadlines which didn’t allow me to write during my lunchtime at work (when I do most of my writing). And I’ve been focusing a lot more on reading and learning than writing. After all, writing’s fun, but you don’t learn anything when you’re speaking. (Know what I’m sayin’?)

I’ll get back to regular updates sometime soon, but for now, the word of the day is “sporadic.”
